I needed to transfer everything to a new computer. Old computer had Firewire 400,new one Firewire 800. No one seemed to have a cable for this. Adapter did the job and the cost was so reasonable. Could not ask for a better tool or a better price. Perfect!!!!!!

I recently purchase a new iMac and discovered it only had a Firewire 800 and USB connection. This allowed meto get my 1TB HD back online. Only complaint is it is too long.

I bought a new iMac earlier this year only to find that the Firewire connection had gone to Firewire 800 and I couldn't connect my old generation iPod. Sadly I couldn't get an adaptor at the Apple store but Amazon, as usual, didn't fail me. This adaptor is not only inexpensive but attaches easily and voila, my iPod is connected to my iTunes again.
